With Teeth

An innovative synchronized A/V live show

Studio Rewind produced a unique live show for electronic music artist Feed Me, combining custom visuals, lighting, realtime performance systems and a giant set of custom synchronised LED teeth.

We led the overall creative direction and designed the full stage setup based on a hand-built mockup created by Feed Me himself. This included designing the stage structure, custom triangular LED screens and the visual content developed for the show. We also managed the technical and lighting setup during pre-production and on tour.

The visuals were developed track-by-track, with each piece built around the atmosphere, structure and energy of the music through its own colour palette, motion language and lighting cues. Using Ableton Live connected to custom Showsync software — Videosync for video and Beam for lighting — the visuals and lighting could react in realtime to the performer’s actions, creating a tightly synchronised audiovisual experience.

Visuals & lighting designs for the track ‘Pink Lady’.

What began as a small physical mockup evolved into a fully touring stage production spanning festivals and venues across Europe, the US, Canada, Japan and Australia. The project combined stage design, motion, lighting and realtime systems into a live experience that became closely associated with Feed Me’s visual identity.

First show of one of USA/CAN tours. Venue: Terminal 5, New York

A short documentary on how the first version of the live show was created.

“… one of the most incredible performances you’ll ever see”
-Joonbug.com

“… it was simultaneously one of the most technologically and artistically impressive light shows I’ve seen in years”
-youredm.com

“… it’s calculated pandemonium at its finest- addictive, captivating and immersive. Visuals are endlessly tied and tangled to sonic bliss and yet the chaos is remarkably singular, an experiential entity. In a perfect word, cohesive. A full-on adventure”
